My “Proposal”

Original. Could not find a larger version of the official logo. I believe this is it… If I’m not mistaken I think I saw it as a letterhead.

This re-branding was for a class project. I didn’t actually propose to PAWS about a logo change, but I feel that the whole paw motif, as hackneyed as it is, fits better as the “w” character, more than making it the “a”, or the space in the capital “P”. I attempted to make the logo a bit more playful, while staying bold.

A T-Shirt design for my friends’ local metal band. It was a quick and easy print, so they wanted a black design on white shirts. Nothing heavy duty, but I tried making the most of it. This design consists of a live-traced drawing of a model that I sketched in a class a few years ago. I’m always intrigued by the endless possibilities of using art for other forms of art. I came up with this for a movie poster contest, where all the imagery, logos, etc. were already supplied by Tri-Star (if I remember correctly). I was not chosen to win, given that there were thousands and thousands of entries, but I was pretty confident in my decision making for an eye-catching poster. Seeing as I was an avid fan of the video game series, I sought for a misty, shrouded, dream-like atmosphere. The poster that won the contest is here, I can see why it was chosen although I’m not a fan.
